Setting sail from Portsmouth in high wind. The Eolus travelled the world. She was originally called 'The Black Pearl'. The Eolus sank in Malta in 1978.

Tide at Emsworth. Painting shows some of Foster's Oyster Fleet the 'Cymba', 'Aurora' and 'Nautilus'. Middle ground the 'Noah's Ark'. Background shows Hendy's Wharf or Fosters Quay and the chimney of Floodgates mill is in the distant mist. Cymba, Aurora and Nautilis were all 90ft long (Scene depicted pre 1930's, painted in 1986. 'Noah's Ark was 100ft long, 50ft wide and 25ft high when launched in 1878 used for oyster and scallop harvesting.
